Carlos Cruz-Diez (French / Venezuelan, b. 1923) is a painter and sculptor associated with the Kinetic art and Color field painting movements. His works are characterized by the use of color in both physical and temporal forms. Cruz-Diez has said that he seeks to create art that engages the senses and elicits an emotional response in viewers.
